Wanderlust in Me

Nothing excites me more than walking unknown paths. Being in some place for the first time and just marveling at everything new that slowly becomes familiar, until you become comfortable. I love the sound of different tongues that are alien to my ears. I love to decipher what people try to say even if it's just another variety of English. I love the distinct aroma of places, food and even people. I embrace the challenge of experiencing until I know. I marvel at the little quirks I find like how ice cream sold on the streets could taste so good, and walking at night to find lovers quarreling at some park two nights in a row. I miss seeing friends sit together and have a picnic, or a group of immigrants hold beer in one hand and tell stories of their homeland. I remember the long walks that made my feet sore, but my heart soar. All my senses are on overload. I can't wait to feel that rush again.
